Software Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Software Engineer, you are responsible for the entire software life cycle – design, development, test, release, maintenance and translates business needs into working software. The ideal candidate will contribute to building high-performance, event-driven solutions that support H&M's global retail and e-commerce platforms.

At H&M group, you will be part of the Order Management Team . We ensure stable, reliable and scalable fit for purpose platforms. Provide best-in-class engineering services that improves our speed to market, flexibility and scalability by providing frictionless technology with self-service capabilities and empowering product teams for delivery leveraging a foundational and standardized set of core platforms

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Azure technologies.
• Develop scalable and highly available data solutions using Azure Cosmos DB/Mongo DB.
• Build Kafka producers and consumers for real-time data streaming.
• Optimize Cosmos DB performance through effective partitioning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, or .NET.
• Integrate distributed applications using Kafka messaging patterns.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams including Product Owners, QA, and DevOps engineers.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership with team-oriented approach.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams with good communication skills.
• Experience in Retail, E-commerce, or Order Management Systems (OMS).
