Forming an intregal part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will support a team of skilled Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians in a high-volume, highly invested medical device manufacturing facility operating in a cleanroom environment.
What you’ll do
- Support, coach and develop a team of talented & driven Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians within your remit to foster a culture of daily accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence using Daily Management, Problem Solving, Standard Work, 5S, Variation Reduction, Value Stream Mapping and other tools within the Danaher Business System (DBS).
- Drive process optimisation through Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to world‑class standards, ensuring high line availability, minimisation of product scrap, and maximisation of yield through the utilisation of data collection and analysis to drive decisions and prioritised improvement opportunities.
- Deliver cost savings within your remit by improving process capability, increasing productivity, reducing waste, and integrating new technologies and best practices to maintain world-class manufacturing standards.
- Identifying business continuity risks related to manufacturing processes within your remit and lead equipment upgrades to safeguard against obsolescence and regulatory changes that may impact continuity of supply.
