Truck Driver

Overview

• Operation and maintenance of Catering Truck.
• Complete daily Truck log, logging any damages and mileage
• Transport and secure F&B menu items, inventory, equipment, etc to SMG and Off-Site properties
• Maintains proper temperature controls on transported food items
• Maintain and check all Food and Beverage equipment for on-line readiness.
• Tag/report and transport all inoperable or damaged equipment to proper location for repair.
• Basic repair and maintenance of F&B inventory and equipment
• Move and transport equipment as requested by Catering by SMG Management.
• Maintain all safety, sanitation and security procedures.
• Assist and instruct utility person(s) in placing portable equipment in proper locations as instructed by Catering by SMG Management.
• Monitor equipment during functions.
• Inspect all Food and Beverage equipment on an event-by-event or weekly basis as to condition and disposition.
• Operates Fork- Lift
• Transports, sets and Maintains Bar locations
• Adheres to Catering by SMG Recycling Program
• Inform Asset Manager/Dir. Purchasing/Dir. Operations/Kitchen of equipment-related problems and inventory shortage.
• Assists warehouse and Purchasing department as needed.
• Accomplishes individually assigned tasks.
• Maintains, cleans and sanitizes all food service equipment
• Safely operates all equipment used at the location.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by SMG Management

POSITION DUTIES:

·         Reports to Kitchen in appropriate uniform, for assigned duties

·         Maintains safety, sanitation, and health code standards

·         Follows all rules and regulations of Catering by SMG

·         Adheres and follows written Vehicle Policy

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have working knowledge of concession/cafeteria operations and equipment.
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License, containing valid Class type
• Must be able to lift/push/pull heavy equipment
• This position requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling and lifting
• Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
• Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
• Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees.
• Must be a member in good standing of the local Union.
