Who You Are

• You’re a confident instructor and mentor who leads by example
• You’re calm, patient, and adaptable — even in challenging traffic situations
• You’re passionate about customer service and creating positive learning experiences
• You communicate clearly, respectfully, and with empathy
• Reporting to the Supervisor, Novice Instruction, you will provide quality vehicle instruction to students, following AMA’s instruction requirements and customer service standards.
• Follow Alberta Transportation guidelines and policies for Driving Instructors.
• Provide constructive feedback on student drivers’ abilities, helping them develop the confidence and skills necessary to become licensed, safe drivers for life.
• Be available after school, evenings, and weekends, to meet students' scheduling needs.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Class 1, 2, or 4 Alberta Operator’s Licence
• Minimum two years licensed as a Driving Instructor with appropriate endorsements
• Minimum two years’ experience across multiple areas of driver education
• Clean Driver’s Abstract (10 years)
• Ability to obtain security clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Check
• Strong instructional, communication, and leadership skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, travel as required, and adjust schedules to meet business needs
