What you'll be doing

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic FP&A Intern to support the Process Excellence and Intelligence team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to building AI-assisted solutions, automations, dashboards, and reporting tools that reduce manual work across FP&A, Sales Compensation, Power BI, Salesforce, and other business processes.

Working under the guidance of senior team members, the intern will help identify repetitive activities, support the development of automated workflows, validate data, and document processes using tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Python, Excel, Power BI, and Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and testing of AI agents for recurring business processes.
• Assist in automating manual tasks using Python, Power Automate, Excel macros, Office Scripts, and APIs.
• Help create AI-enabled solutions that retrieve information from SharePoint files, Excel trackers, policy documents, SOPs, and reporting repositories.
• Support recurring report preparation, stakeholder reminders, data validation, approval tracking, and exception management.
• Assist with integrations across Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and Salesforce.
• Help build and test validation checks for sales compensation calculations, quota attainment, payout exceptions, and data reconciliation.
• Support Power BI and Salesforce reporting enhancements, including data preparation and issue tracking.
• Participate in testing AI-generated outputs and ensure results are accurate, complete, and aligned with business requirements.
• Assist in documenting workflows, automation logic, process steps, data sources, controls, and user guides.
• Track automation outcomes such as manual effort saved, error reduction, cycle-time improvement, and user adoption.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and team members to understand requirements and support continuous process improvement.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Python, particularly data handling using Pandas or Excel file automation.
• Good Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and reporting.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, or Microsoft Power Platform.
• Understanding of APIs, JSON, or REST services is preferred.
• Interest in AI tools, prompt engineering, automation, and process improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new tools quickly and work with structured data.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Attention to detail, especially when working with financial or operational data.
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot Studio, ChatGPT, or other AI tools.
• Basic knowledge of Power Query, VBA, Office Scripts, or SQL.
• Familiarity with Salesforce reports, dashboards, or data objects.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, or Outlook integrations.
• Exposure to finance, FP&A, sales operations, or sales compensation processes.
• Understanding of data security, access controls, and responsible AI practices.
• Knowledge of statistics or data science concepts will be an added advantage.
• Practical experience in AI automation, reporting, and process excellence.
• Exposure to enterprise tools including Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Salesforce, and SharePoint.
• Experience working on real business processes in finance and sales operations.
