EAME Product Consultant (Skid Steer & Compact Track Loader)

Overview

• Provide product and application expertise to dealers, customers and field sales teams, supporting equipment selection, work tool alignment and customer success.
• Deliver product, application and value-selling training that builds capability and confidence across dealers and sales teams.
• Gather and analyse customer, market and competitive insights to strengthen Caterpillar's value proposition, support future product development and identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes.
• Partner with product groups and NPI teams to represent the voice of the customer and contribute to future product features, specifications, compatibility requirements and application solutions.
• Represent Caterpillar at customer events, trade shows, demonstrations and competitive evaluations, acting as a trusted product expert.
• Develop and maintain sales support resources that clearly communicate product capabilities, benefits and customer value.
• Products & Services: Apply detailed knowledge of Skid Steer and Compact Track Loader products, applications and work tools to support customers, dealers and field teams. This includes understanding product capabilities, application requirements and attachment compatibility to recommend solutions that meet customer needs.
• Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Gather, analyse and interpret information from customer feedback, market activity and competitive products to identify opportunities, resolve issues and support informed business decisions.
• Effective Communications: Communicate technical and commercial information clearly to a range of audiences. This includes delivering training, presenting recommendations and translating complex product information into practical customer solutions.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with dealers, customers, field sales teams and product groups. Success in this area means providing responsive support, understanding stakeholder needs and collaborating to deliver positive commercial and customer outcomes.
• Anticipate customer needs, using customer, market and industry insights to identify opportunities for improvement and help shape solutions that deliver measurable value while building long-term customer confidence.
• Demonstrate advanced product and application expertise, including an understanding of SSL and CTL machine performance, attachment compatibility and customer applications. Use this knowledge to guide technical solutions, support complex customer requirements and contribute to future product development activities.
• Translate product features, application advantages and support offerings into meaningful customer value, helping customers understand how Caterpillar solutions improve productivity, efficiency and business outcomes while supporting dealer and sales success.

Job Title: EAME Product Consultant (Skid Steer & Compact Track Loader)

Salary: £57,700 - £74,000 depending on skills demonstrated

Contract : Full time & permanent

Hours: Full Time - 37.50

Location: Desford, Leicestershire - Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

Travel: 30% to include domestic and international

The Opportunity:

We're looking for a Product Consultant to support the Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) region. In this role, you'll act as the product and application expert for Caterpillar Skid Steer Loaders (SSL) and Compact Track Loaders (CTL), helping dealers, customers and field sales teams maximise machine performance, application success and customer value.

Working closely with sales teams, dealers, product groups and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams, you'll use your technical, commercial and market knowledge to support sales growth, influence future product development and ensure Caterpillar products continue to meet evolving customer and industry needs.
