Assistant Vice President, Risk Management - Energy & Power

Overview

• Works with various Marsh resources, such as client industry, specialty, placement, and client consulting groups, for the benefit of clients and prospects.  Directs service to existing clients.
• Analyzes risks and assists with developing solutions for clients needs.
• Assists with responding to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly in order to maintain client satisfaction.
• Supports and assists in the design, development, and marketing of new brokerage products and programs to win new projects.
• Assists more senior level Brokers on more complex client assignments.
• Demonstrates proficient awareness of market conditions to better serve clients and inform more junior Brokers on market trends.
• Advanced understanding of the Energy & Power insurance industry.
• Proven experience in general management, preferably within the insurance or energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships and internal teams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets, with a focus on profitability and revenue maximization.
• Knowledge of Energy & Power technologies and business strategies, including ESG and energy transition
• Proven track record in leading successful teams, managing talent, and fostering a culture of feedback and idea sharing.
• Strong relationships with underwriters and a positive reputation in the insurance market.
• Demonstrated excellence in client service and growth-driven results.
• Understanding of insurer profitability, market cycles, and the global reinsurance market.
• Familiarity with technology-based solutions for process improvement and client management.

We are seeking a talented individual to be part of our Energy and Power (E&P) division at Marsh . This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You can expect to be part of a diligent division where you will enhance your specialty insurance expertise and data-driven insights to help clients build resilience through a comprehensive approach.
