Job Overview:

We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated individual to join our team as Day Care Assistant. The Day Care Assistant will be responsible for creating a safe, supportive and enriching environment for children in our care. This position requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about early childhood development and providing high-quality care to young children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and engaging children during playtime, meals and naptime.
• Assist with the implementation of age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized environment for children including sanitizing toys and equipment.
• Help children with basic needs such as feeding, diapering and toileting.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents and staff members through effective communication and teamwork.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in childcare.
• Follow daycare policies and procedures including health and safety protocols.
